About Me:

I am a New York State licensed psychotherapist with a Masters degree in Social Work from Columbia University. My specialties lie in developmental and attachment trauma as well as treating women going through infertility. I most commonly utilize Somatic Experiencing (a body-oriented trauma resolution treatment), Attachment Focused-EMDR, and parts work for processing trauma. I have also received multiple trainings in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, mindfulness-based and psychodynamic therapy and use these modalities when relevant, most typically in the initial stages of therapy or for those who are new to therapy. I draw on current neuroscientific research, the body-mind connection, and at times if it resonates, spirituality and Buddhist psychology. I have offices in Katonah, NY and in New York City.

My Philosophy:

I strongly believe in one's capacity to transform and create a meaningful and fulfilling life; and the power to do this lies within oneself. I will work collaboratively with you to access your unique inner resources in order to manifest what it is you are seeking, whether it's healing from past traumatic relationships, managing overwhelming emotions, increasing your insight, or achieving more stability in your life. If you are not quite sure what it is you are seeking, but know you are feeling stuck, I can help you find more clarity.

When you think back to the happiest times of your life, you will most likely find your attention and focus placed entirely outside of yourself, fully engaged in the moment. This other-centered or fully engaged state may also be referred to as “flow,” which embodies deep enjoyment, creativity, and a total involvement with life  (Csikszentmihalyi 1990). My passion lies in helping people generate self-acceptance, resilience, and empowerment so as to more easily and readily achieve this state of flow.
